Educate Plus

QLD Chapter Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Design Thinking Workshop

Spearhead 2025 by learning how to solve problems in new ways!

Join us for an afternoon of camaraderie at the Educate Plus QLD Chapter Annual General Meeting and PD.

The AGM is an opportunity to learn more about the work being done at a Chapter level, both current initiatives and achievements, as well as future goals.

Following the AGM, we have organised a Design Thinking Workshop, which will be facilitated by the UQ Ventures team, using a structured ‘Design Sprint’ process.

Design thinking is a framework for creative problem-solving with a human-centred core. The goal of the session is to provide you with the skills to design better products, services, processes, strategies, spaces, and experiences to help you and your team develop practical and innovative solutions for your problems.

The workshop will be followed by networking drinks.

What is a Design Sprint?
A Design Sprint is a structured process that enables teams to rapidly ideate, prototype, and validate solutions to complex problems. Developed by experts at Google Ventures, this methodology fosters collaboration, creativity, and rapid iteration.  This Design Thinking Workshop will use the Design Sprint process to facilitate fast-tracked solutions.

Why Design Sprints?

Speed: Accelerate your innovation process and bring ideas to market faster.
Collaboration: Foster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
Validation: Test assumptions early and mitigate risks before investing significant resources.

How Does it Work?
In just few hours, your team will:

·                 Understand the problem.

·                 Generate a plethora of ideas.

·                 Select the most promising solution.

·                 Build a prototype.

·                 Test it with real users.

Results You Can Expect:

·                 Innovative solutions.

·                 Enhanced team cohesion.

·                 Reduced time-to-market.

·                 Validated ideas with real user feedback.

Outcomes: Participants will end each day with potential solutions to address the identified challenge or challenges. Participants will also have a greater understanding of user-focussed solutions and the design thinking process.

Once you register, we will email you for your pain points or issues that you have which we can work on during the design thinking process
