Hi Margo, thank you for your suggestion. That was actually my first port of call and although helpful, I found it a little too literal and lacking context… Just thought I would reach out in case there were any ‘tried and tested’ surveys that provided valuable insights. Thanks, Maria
Maria EganForum ParticipantHi Rod, Humanitix have preferential fees for schools and charities (which match the Trybooking fees). Make sure you apply for that rate :)
Maria EganForum ParticipantWe transitioned from Trybooking to Humanitix a couple of years ago. One of the main reasons being Humanitix with is Australian owned and profits go to a charitable causes (which align with our school philosophy) vs Trybooking is US owned and for-profit.
I also found Humanitix had functionality better suited to our needs. One such example is the ability to have one overarching school account with visibility over linked sub-accounts (e.g. P&F and Performing Arts).
Maria EganForum ParticipantHi Alexis,
Our publications officer does most of our photography (she also handles graphic design and content writing). We also have a second photographer who we utilise on a freelance basis (e.g. after hours events, during peak workload times or when we need to be two places at once!). We are fortunate he is a retired teacher (and used to teach a photography elective!) so he is available at short notice and knows the school and staff well. We find this works well for us and we are able to cover most events!
Once a year we also engage a professional photographer to take our more ‘polished’ marketing images for publications, website, etc.
Hope that helps,
Maria -
