I have been involved in the School Archives sector for over a decade and this topic has come up many times. Unfortunately there is no easy way to do this. In the absence of digital preservation software, creating PDFs is the best way. Saving the link will work to a point, but should your school update its website, intranet, or wherever the newsletter is hosted, there is the possibility that the saved links will no longer work and consequently you will lose all back issues of the newsletter.

We also used Hyphen for our Centenary book last year. Definitely recommend Val and her team.
