The Position

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for:
• Staff Recruitment, Onboarding and Induction,
• Human Resource Management and Administration, and
• Employee Relations

Working collaboratively with the Principal and the Leadership team they manage and support our workforce and facilitating the human resources framework and program within the College.

Key areas of responsibility include:
• Provision of end-to-end recruitment
• Onboarding processes for all new staff
• Coordination of a comprehensive induction program
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, agreements and policies
• Coordinate and manage leave requests
• Offboarding process for departing staff
• Oversee the development, review and implementation of College policies and procedures related to Human Resource Management
• Ensure proper administration, filing and safekeeping of all HR records

About You

Key Requirements
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Previous experience working in an equivalent role
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to develop professional relationships with staff at all levels
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Database Management Solutions.
• Understand, interpret and implement the key policies and procedures pertaining to the role
• Knowledge of contemporary trends in HR Management
• Previous experience in a Catholic secondary school (advantageous)
• Experience in using Synergetic, PolicyConnect and EMS360 (advantageous)
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to develop professional relationships with staff at all levels
• Ability to work under pressure in a calm and considerate manner, whilst working in a team environment.
• Confidence to work autonomously and as a team member
• Diplomatic and tactful and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent organisational, time management and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills
• Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education and an understanding of the importance of charism and spiritual tradition in the life of an order-owned Catholic school
• A commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children

A current Working with Children Check (employee) and National Police Check are essential requirements for this position or current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).

This position is full time, ongoing. Commencing as soon as possible.
